A Quick Update from Coach Marla
Hi everyone,
I want to share a quick and honest update with you. I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and have begun treatment.
During this time, I am focusing on my health and healing. Because of this, I will not be offering regular swim lessons again until mid-summer of next year, pending medical clearance and a safe return to full activity.
Live. Love. Swim! is still here, and the mission remains the same. This season is simply requiring me to move differently and more intentionally.

Oshun’s Onyx Swim Scholarship provides financial support for Black and Brown individuals of all ages—from hesitant beginners to determined triathletes—who are ready to reclaim the water.
This fund helps cover the cost of swim lessons, gear, and confidence-building for underserved communities and those with (dis)abilities. Your donation helps create more inclusive, empowered swimmers—one lesson at a time.
